«KNOW THYSELF»

KNOW YOURSELF

The earliest trace of the inscription “Gnothi seauton” can be found in the texts of Plato. Self-knowledge is a science of inner life, ontological, a learning and a discovery of our faculties for an existential quality of life in the service of the essential with which we are in agreement. This millennial Knowledge has been transmitted in several places around the world. It teaches us to be in an attitude of interrogative reflection, in a non-judgmental examination and in a reality, turned towards the authentic-Self in priority.

TO RE-KNOW YOURSELF, BY THE KNOWLEDGE OF IDENTIFICATIONS

We learn to recognize ourselves and to identify our mechanisms of egotic functioning in order to distance them. Meditation’s exercises and experimentation of consciousness calm the mind. This way of distancing and highlighting the ego lets appear the luminous part, because the recognition of the shadow necessarily reveals the presence of light. This is done in humor and conviviality with authenticity and sincerity, gives us Joy and leaves no one in isolation.

TO RE-BORN TO YOURSELF

By a metanoia, that is, a reversal, the fall of illusions and the appearance of authentic-self.  Knowledge gives us access to two visions, two worlds: verticality carrying order and dual horizontality which coexist. Coeternal, without ever mixing, one existential, temporal and determined and the other essential, eternal and free. Such is the teaching of Patricia de Val Real and her method of putting it into practice, in order to avoid mistakes and pitfalls for any researcher who must cross many stages of the path of Knowledge. Because it is necessary to prepare to receive the Consciousness so that the Function of Being settles down and to live a Quality of life without time or space limit. Our ancestors bequeathed this gem to us, so that after 700 years, the laurel blooms again. The treasure did not get a wrinkle and finally, it is inside each one that it is best hidden.

For my part, I wish to carry this monument of human thought ardently and clearly. We owe it to Pythagoras, Socrates, Plato, and universal gnosis, to Tibetan Buddhism, to the Sufis, to the Persians, to India, to the Greeks, and to the Albigensians with who we are in straight philosophical lineage. The Mandala of the Star found by William Arnaud in 1987 bequeaths a Western spiritual teaching for humanity and the continuity of universal Gnosis.

SELF-KNOWLEDGE PRACTICE

THE REASONS WHICH DRIVE US TO SELF-KNOWLEDGE:

At the beginning, we wish to take a spiritual path for well-being, because we feel different, ill-adapted, because we ask ourselves questions. We want to be better. We are attracted to a metaphysical discipline or to esotericism. We come to Self-Knowledge believing that we know who we are and then, little by little, we realize our unconsciousness; we realize that we are acting like a robot, that we are scattered and superficial.

THE REASONS WHY WE STAY ON THE PATH OF SELF-KNOWLEDGE:

We have found something that suits us, we are happy to receive a Teaching whose rational side reassures us and whose state of mind pleases us. Something in us is appeased. We are in the discovery of new perceptions with this deep feeling of having returned home, of no longer having to search. We are certain that the Knowledge that we receive corresponds to something pre-established in us, the words received express what we cannot manage to name. The Knowledge received is dispensed with simplicity, without decorum. It is secular and advocates autonomy and individualization. Everyone is considered in their singularity, in what they are, without judgment. The practice of Self-Knowledge offers a real path, a structure, a construction, a process, a complete teaching.

THE MAIN STEPS IN THE PRACTICE OF SELF-KNOWLEDGE

FIRST STEP:

We study the Authentic-self‘s diagram: we discover the ego and the different parts that constitute us. We are working on the main principles of duality and dualism, horizontality and verticality.
Thus we receive knowledge which little by little will structure us and establish our foundations. Then we are accompanied to see our brakes and we begin to work on the ego and the mechanisms of functioning. The knowledge received will structure both Being and Human. We begin to work on our identifications and begin to distinguish the existential from the essential.

SECOND STEP:

We put an inner vision on ourselves, a spectator, to assess the situation. We are beginning to see that we have an ego and that we are constantly functioning emotionally. We realize that the reasons that pushed us towards a spiritual path are not the right ones and that our initial goals will not be realized. We are beginning to understand that we have been tricked: we came to get better and, in fact, something else is happening…

We cannot practice without knowledge. Only the Knowledgeable can practice, and for that we need a few years of learning. It is about acquiring a clear vision of the mechanisms of the ego and opening up to consciousness. Only then can we naturally go into letting go and see our dark part fall. Up to this point in the little self, there is now construction of the big self which will serve as a binder to go into the Authentic Being.

Thus, the more we see the inner side, the more we fall and the more the light side takes place. We were on the outskirts and we are now entering the volute of transformations. We begin the first climb and the discovery of the archetypes until we see ourselves.

THIS IS THE WAY OF THE AUTHENTIC-SELF DISCOVERY
